Before you ask.
- How do you avoid false alarms?
- A failed check is re-run ten seconds later over a fresh connection. You choose how many failures in a row it takes before we alert you.
- Where do the checks come from?
- From a server in Germany. The requests identify themselves as PingeonBot, so your logs show who's knocking.
- Can you check sites on a private network?
- No. We only check public addresses. For internal jobs, have them report in with a heartbeat check.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing. Every account includes 20 monitors at no cost. If that ever changes, existing users will be told well in advance.
